Hello Everybody! Sorry that it has been so long since I updated my website but that's because I have two new plays that I wrote and produced myself in last summer, a feat that kept me very busy. "Lady Ain't Singing No Blues" my interpretation of Billie Holiday that has been called "an amazing, creative depiction of the beautiful, enigmatic lady and her unabashedly open artistry" and "The Shelton Brooks Darktown Stutters Review and Ball" a song and dance tribute to the venerable Canadian song writer and composer, Shelton Brooks, are the new offerings. I've decide to stick with the "new" theme and have a new website designed too. Look for that to be coming soon!
In the meantime I'm beginning my year of touring with The Spirit of Harriet of Harriet Tubman, Things My Fore-Sisters Saw and Harriet Is My Hero. There are still some openings this year so you can still book if you haven't yet. I'm really looking forward to next year which will be my 20th Year touring with "Spirit"! (Ya, I know, I can't believe it either!) I'm hoping to make it special! I am also looking ahead to performances of my new Billie Holiday that are in consideration for this year. Might be off to England in October again too! I'll let you know
In the meantime, check the schedule for this year's public performances. I'll be in Ann Arbor Michigan, Wye Mills Maryland and Modesto California over the next few months along with my school shows in Ontario and Michigan. Later in the year I'll be in Louisville Kentucky (but I'll have to tell you exactly what I'll be doing there a little later).
Thank you for checking out my website!
Hope all is well!
Live, Love, Laugh. Peace
Leslie
I wanted you to know that your show was excellent. Entertaining, educational and inspirational. The Spirit of Harriet Tubman was probably the best value in theatre I have ever had. Unquestionably one of the best performances I have ever attended. Thank-you for the gift of this performance!
