The Darktown Strutters Ball is an historical, musical review documenting the contributions of Black performers in history who were celebrated and revered for their contributions both artistically and socially. Leslie McCurdy and Cassel Miles work beautifully together, brilliantly bringing every note of the history they celebrate to the stage: Shelton Brooks, Paul Robeson, Nat King Cole, Josephine Baker, Florence Mills, are just a few. This is a couple of hours of theatre not to be missed.
